A military discount is a thank-you you can use every day of the year, not only on Veterans Day or Memorial Day. This page lists the stores, restaurants, travel companies and online brands that offer one, with exactly who qualifies, how the brand checks your service, and what the discount does and doesn’t cover.
Our editors check each discount against the brand’s own military discount page or program terms, and every card shows when we last looked. Discounts change more often than most people expect: a percentage drops, a yearly cap appears, or an in-store offer moves online only. If you spot a change before we do, use “Report a problem” on the card.
Most brands now verify your service once online through ID.me, GovX or SheerID, then apply the discount whenever you sign in. Others still ask for a military ID, VA health card or Veteran ID Card at the register. The “Verify” and “Bring” lines on each card tell you which.
Use the filters to find what fits you. Choose “Spouse” or “Family” under “I am a…” to see discounts that include your household, or “Online” under “How” for deals you can use from home.

Questions veterans ask
Who qualifies for a military discount?
It depends on the brand. Most discounts cover active-duty service members and veterans, and many include National Guard, Reserve and military retirees. A growing number include spouses and dependents. Each card lists who the brand says qualifies.
How do brands check that I served?
Online, most brands use a verification service such as ID.me, GovX or SheerID: you confirm your service once and the discount unlocks in your account. In store, staff usually ask for a military ID, VA health card, Veteran ID Card or DD 214.
Is ID.me free?
Yes. Creating an ID.me account and verifying your military status costs nothing. You verify once and can then use the same account with every brand that accepts it.
Can I combine a military discount with sales or coupons?
Usually not. Most brands exclude sale items, gift cards and other promotions, and some cap how much you can save in a year. The limits line on each card shows what the brand excludes.
Do military discounts work online?
Many do, once you verify your service. Some discounts are in store only, and some are online only. Use the “How” filter to see the ones that work where you shop.
Are these the same as Veterans Day deals?
No. Veterans Day deals are one-day offers around November 11. The discounts on this page run all year. Where a brand has both, its page links to the other.
What if a store won’t give me the discount?
Some locations, especially franchises, don’t take part. Ask for a manager and show the brand’s military discount page linked on the card. If it still doesn’t work, use “Report a problem” so we can check it.
